The book examines famous teams, clubs, players and grounds around the world, and outlines a fitness and training programme for young players. One chapter looks at ways of developing the skills and tactics needed to play the game well. Donald Ireland is a sports teacher who has written several books on rugby including "Successful Rugby" and "The Science of Rugby Football", which he co-wrote with ex-England team coach Mike Davis.
