The creek has many moods - dry and sluggish without rain, fiercely eager after a storm, gently contemplative during the in-between times...

In this book, a former co-ordinator of Wahroonga Waterways Landcare tells the story of over three and a half years' work in the bushland surrounding Coups Creek. The book is divided into four major sections, each with their own focus.
In 'Land' we hear about the human and natural history of the site. In 'Fauna' is explored a variety of accounts ranging from Squirter Earthworms (Didymogaster sylvaticus) to Brush Turkeys (Alectura lathami) and many other wild encounters. The 'Flora' section stratifies the stories of vegetation into layers starting with the canopy and ending in the groundcover. The final section 'Community' details the triumphs and frustrations that come with working on the site.
This book is the most comprehensive collection of information about the bushland around Coups Creek ever written.
