"The Heart of Christmas" is for all who struggle with the seasonal commercialism of Christmas. The book uses the biblical themes of expectation, joy, love and peace as its framework. It adds the traditions of the Christmas story and the grace of giving, and draws together insights and reflections from people in all walks of life; some famous, other just "ordinary" Christians. Each day offers the reader a chance to reflect with a meditation or comment on the Bible passage, related to everyday life. This is followed by a further reflection from one of the "guest" contributors adding perspective from his or her own experience. Each day concludes with a prayer.
