This is a method book that I wrote after serving in the United States Marine Corps as a musician. It is a beginning flute method, influenced by my experiences as a musician, and also as a private instructor.
When I was a student at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk VA, I was surprised by how many people had difficulty with music theory. Many of the young musicians had little to no experience with the subject. This method strives to introduce some of what I have learned in a gentle, subtle way that will not overwhelm the beginning flutist, and the exercises are presented to make learning more advanced material further on easier, as well as dovetailing nicely with any beginning method books provided by a musician's school music program.
