This major monograph has been prepared for readers, academic and non-academic, who are interested in understanding Islamicjerusalem and its new field of inquiry. In short, it is a major significant contribution to and an essential reference source of Islamicjerusalem studies.

Professor Abd al-Fattah El-Awaisi is the founder of the new field of inquiry of Islamicjerusalem Studies with interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches.

He is also the first Chair in Islamicjerusalem Studies and the founding Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Al-Maktoum Institute.
