This series consists of six videotapes and a supporting information booklet which have been prepared to convey the concepts, risks, and advantages of entrepreneurial endeavors. An important message emphasized throughout the seminar is the value-added to engineers and scientists by improving and maintaining the extra or softer skills, such as: communications, report writing, marketing, understanding business finance, etc.It should be understood that the tapes do not try to teach the entrepreneurial or extra skills to the engineer and scientist, but attempt to show the benefits of being competent in these skills. The tapes can be used individually, or in combination with one another, to generate a short meeting, or workshop. In contrast, the entire series can be used to form a full day seminar.The included information booklet provides a seminar introduction, plus presentation abstracts, English transcripts of each of the tapes, and copies of the graphics used in each presentation. An appendix to this booklet provides suggested books and videos that teach the softer skills.
