A blizzard, two killers, and a whole Inn full of suspects? Fred is in way over her head.
Winifred Page
Fred is once again on the case. Well, even if she doesn't want to this time. Everyone assumes that she will take it, and her uncles wanted this done and out of the way. Fred is an excellent sleuth and even better when Susan wants her help. Susan is also helping her out! That's right Officer Susan Green is being kind of nice. Even Fred, herself, is having a hard time putting the pieces of this one together. It's just so farfetched all of it.
What I like about Fred in this one is that she is trying her best to figure things out despite having a hard time connecting all the clues. It also doesn't help that not a lot of the "suspects" are helpful.
The Mystery
Another doozy of a crime. Two murders in one place not all that far apart. It doesn't help Fred or Susan out very much. They figured out the first murder of the German exchange worker Luca, and I did as well. But then another murder happens and this one is very bizarre. It brings around a lot of things that make it impossible and connect a lot of people that probably shouldn't be connected. See doozy. Along with a lot of red herrings to fish through.
Five Stars Killer Keys by Mildred Abbott
Killer Keys by Mildred Abbott is an insanely well-written book that it had me guessing. I didn't get who-dun-it, and I still don't get it. Hopefully, Fred is handling this better than I am. Another one worthy of five stars for Mildred Abbott, and I can't wait for the next books. I might even go back to reading the first few.
