This is a magnificently illustrated career-spanning survey of multidisciplinary artist Mary Boochever. This superbly illustrated monograph surveys Mary Boochever's thirty-year career in the visual arts. Through paintings, sculptures, installations and spatial interventions, Boochever has developed a language of colour that draws on sources as diverse as the Kabala and Goethe's Theory of Colours. Her works engage the viewer in an experience of colour that is both perceptually immediate and philosophically contemplative. At the heart of her practice is a belief that such experiences of art have the capacity to move one beyond a physical and historical present tense.
