When combined with the entry level book, it will cover all the Knowledge, Skill and Abilities (KSAs) to comply with the NFPA Level 1 firefighter requirements. This intermediate level of training prepares the firefighter recruit to be fully qualified to fight an interior structure fire as part of a team. The firefighter recruit educated at Level 1 will also get more in-depth training related to responding to and handling many types of fire and vehicle crash emergencies. The goal is to have a firefighter who can work well with the firefighting team and using safe, effective techniques.
