"Learn to Read Faster" is a self-teaching course for people who want to improve their reading skills. You learn to read faster using pronunciation, spelling, and syllabification. It lets you read faster in spite of hearing loss, speech impediment, or other learning problems such as dyslexia or ADHD. It is also great for adults who are just learning to read. The English language has two components, phonetic and alphabetic. The phonetic side stays hidden until we look up words in the dictionary to find their correct pronunciation. By not knowing the phonetic side of the language, you may lack important clues that would help to increase your reading speed. By practicing phonetic word drills, you will learn to quickly recognize the clues and decode the words. When rapid-readers read out loud, they are able to pre-read each word silently before pronouncing it. This involves checking the spelling, checking the tense, and understanding how the word fits in with the rest of the sentence.
