At AS level we introduced DEONTOLOGICAL and TELEOLOGICAL ethics and asked the question: to what extent is ethics ABSOLUTE or RELATIVE? We then applied the ethical theories to abortion, euthanasia, genetic engineering and war and peace. At A2 the theories are now retained and a number of new issues considered, notably the FREE WILL debate and theories of CONSCIENCE. To deontology and teleology we add ARETAIC (virtue) ethics - the ethics of character and META-ETHICS, the study of ethical meaning. APPLIED ISSUES AT A2 ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS BUSINESS ETHICS SEXUAL ETHICS (homosexuality, sex before marriage, adultery and contraception)
