When Flynn saw the beautiful nymph dancing in the moonlight, he knew he would never be the same. Dancing with her there, amid the flowers he so loved, his heart was captured.
Oh, how I loved this absent-minded landscaper with his love for poetry! His dedication and devotion to plants were endearing. It was so fun that he didn't drive well due to constantly being distracted by plants growing on the side of the road.
Evie captured my heart as she poured herself out so completely for the children in her care. It was so cute how she gave them nicknames that everyone knew but their parents.
One of the things I especially enjoyed was the picnic they attended where the adults were singing popular songs of the period. I felt so much like I was transported to that time at the turn of the century, dressed in my finest enjoying the dapper gentlemen and lovely ladies surrounding me. Author Shanna Hatfield so thoroughly captures the feel of the period and includes very interesting tidbits of historical trivia via natural and enjoyable conversations.
Lovers of historical fiction will want to grab a copy of Evie!
