My curiosity about the name of the youngest Steele brother was satisfied in this incredibly intense and kinky fourth book in this series, as Remington is persuaded to join his older brothers in Las Vegas.
He might be living and working in the same city as his brothers, but Remington is far from settled. As a dominant, he wants a woman to submit to him completely, embracing the BDSM lifestyle he follows. He's reluctant to sign up with FANTA-C, the agency his brothers found the women of their dreams. But, what is there to loose? If a match is found, at least he can indulge in one perfect night?
Cara Winters left Remington Steele when she was unable to commit to the lifestyle he followed. As a dominant, Remington wanted Cara to submit to him completely and not just in the bedroom, something she wasn't sure she was ready for. Now living in Las Vegas, Cara is training to be a perfect submissive, but needs to loose the last of her inhibitions. Signing up to FANTA-C is a discrete way to achieve her goal, except her date is the man she ran away from.
Although we're not give a lot of Remington and Cara's back story, it is very clear that they are perfect together as fate a.k.a FANTA-C sets them up for their perfect night. Both are clearly in love with each other, but stubbornness and denial reign as they go their separate ways until jealousy acts as a catalyst to turn events around.
This is by far the most explicit of the Steele Brothers novellas, but it isn't in anyway gratuitous. Kudos to Ms Probst who has successfully managed to include so much into so few pages. There is a perfect balance between the scorching hot bedroom scenes and the narrative of a second chance romance.
I've always shied away from novellas because many times I've finished one only to feel as though a story was incomplete. After reading this series I wont shy away again.
