Tomonori Iwaki is a hapless middle-school student who just had his heart broken when the teacher he had a crush on gets engaged. He goes home to find that he's got a wife of his own though, arranged for him by the Japanese government. He's not thrilled about the arrangement, to say the least, but when the government sends three agents (Rizel's "Papas") along to ensure that the relationship goes as planned, there's not much Tomonori can do about it. Rizel's more than a little of a mystery, even if she may look like a grade-schooler. Rizel, who is very cute, and apparently made of nanomachines, does her best to win her new husband's heart, and hilarity and true love ensue. She meets fellow nanomachine projects who are rivals for Tomonori's affections, ends up in school, has an adventure with a lunchbox, and in the end she may be both the key to Tomonori's past, and to his true desires.
