The Cambridge Alphabet Books are a key resource in the Preparing to Read phase of Cambridge Reading. The books use colour photographs of children and familiar everyday objects to support letter recognition and early phonic awareness. A unique interactive page at the end of each book gives children the opportunity to practise target sound recognition in the context of a game. Each book has an embossed lower case letter on the back cover, so children can trace the shape with their finger.
