Diary of the Cat Named Carrot is a sweet picture book formatted as a diary written from Carrot's point of view. Due out 30th March 2021 from HCI Books, it's 160 pages and will be available in hardcover and ebook formats.
This is a sweet and wholesome photo album book with accompanying diary written by Carrot herself, with some help from her human mom, Erin Merryn. The entries cover roughly a year, from Carrot's kittenhood til her young adulthood alongside the small humans in her adopted family. Carrot and her family have a large following on social media and this would be a perfect gift for a fan/follower. It would also make a great read-along selection with young kids, as well as anyone who loves adorable cat pics. The (human) author is a Christian and there are some mentions of her faith in the introduction and text. I didn't find them intrusive or objectionable, but they are there. Four stars.
Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
