This atlas, with 47 maps accompanied by explanatory essays on today's Asia and Southeast Asia, throws new light on numerous problem areas. The first four maps give general information on the physical and colonial history of the region whilst the rest all deal with the specific sections of international boundaries. The commentaries explain the evolution of each boundary and the current problems and difficulties associated with it. All land boundaries are covered, even disputed ones such as that between India and China, but only proclaimed maritime boundaries are considered. This atlas will be used by students and researchers in geography, history, political science, Asian studies and international law.
