Heartbreakingly sad

This book was a hard read, but then they always are.
And though these sort of books are very triggering to most, I still feel a need to read them.
Because without them, these children are forgotten... Turned into just another statistic. I guess a part of me hopes that by keeping events and these crimes alive in these books, we can work harder and learn better ways of prevention and detecting the signs that something isn't right.

We must never be afraid to take action if we suspect. Ever.
