This new guide supersedes BSRIA's well known publication "Allocation of Design Responsibilities for Building Engineering Services TN 21/97 and TN 22/97 Example Drawings". The guide includes new sections covering the latest changes to the RIBA Plan of Work and the respective roles of the architect and building services designer, and also takes into account the requirements of Part L of the Building Regulations, amended in April 2006. Like it's forerunners, the new combined Guide is an essential tool for the design engineer. It helps improve a project team's understanding of who is undertaking which design activity on any aspect of building services design, and how this will reduce project risk. It also provides a framework for allocating many of the design activities needed to complete a construction project, to the different members of a project team. Containing design activities and drawing definitions BG 6/2006, this book shows design activities can be broken into key stages and presents them in pro-formas for allocating design among the members of a project team. These are supported by other pro-formas for allocating drawing production.
