This new series has been designed to support the teaching and learning of the History Key Stage 3 Programme of Study in Wales. The three book course develops the key skills identified in the National Curriculum alongside the knowledge and understanding of Welsh history from 1000 to 1918. The books are structured around key enquiries which lead to the synoptic assessment of different skills and build up a portfolio of evidence. Wales 1000-1500 is the first book in the series. It starts with a chapter on history skills and goes on to examine how the coming of the Normans affected Wales and Britain between 1000 and 1500 through the following enquiries: - Was the coming of the Normans a 'turning point' in Welsh history? - How successful were the Welsh rulers in resisting English authority between 1135 and 1300? - How far did life in Wales change between 1300 and 1500? Other titles in the series: Wales 1500-1760 Wales 1760-1918
