This essay is based on my 30 years' experience of rejections and successes as an artist and my short time with the Artists Union of England (including my training as a Union Representative). It is not indicative of the AUE views. Rather, it contains my own, personal perspective and ideas.

My joining the Artists Union of England arose out of my art projects "A Year With Picasso". Discovering that Picasso was active at the World Peace Congress in 1950 and also that he was a multi-millionaire member of the Communist party. It allowed me to re-frame a key issue, the regulation of the art industry, in terms of being a worker. My method of creation of art has used a system of categorisation that is empirical and phenomenological and is almost computer like. The work that I make is original but hasn't been recognised. And it is my belief that Artificial Intelligence will bring about regulation in the art industry and also the creation of new artworks.
