This was an enjoyable little book of poetry, containing selection from three of China's most famous 8th century poets, none of whom I'd heard of before. My favourite of the three was probably Wang Wei, with 'Watching a farewell' and 'Taking the cool of the evening' being the ones I enjoyed the most.

I am slowly making my way through all 80 of the Penguin Little Black Classics that I have in numerical order. This is no. 09. I figured if I read them this way I wouldn't be tempted to leave any out, plus you never know what your going to get next.
