These days in many churches and fellowships, there seems to be an almost over-emphasis on and even demanding push to make disciples (which seems to turn many non-Christians off) and ministry but very little emphasis on getting to know Christ more intimately and knowing the fellowship of His sufferings.
In Revelation 2:4, the Lord reminds us that loving Him is our FIRST priority; the works (including the "Great Commission," "making disciples" and "soul-winning") will naturally follow; meaning that the Lord is FIRST concerned with our RELATIONSHIP.
