The Joseph Story script has been adapted from the famous story of Joseph found in the Book of Genesis. It is a timeless tale of integrity and faithfulness. Joseph boasts to his brothers about his extravagant dreams. The brothers are offended at his exalted view of himself. In their anger they sell him into slavery in Egypt. Joseph is a loyal servant to Potiphar, but when Potiphar's wife makes advances toward him, Joseph flees. She tells Potiphar that Joseph attempted to rape her, and he is sent to prison. Here he interprets dreams for fellow prisoners. After many years he is brought before Pharoah to interpret a dream. Joseph's fate then takes a turn for the better. He finds favor with Pharaoh, and serves Egypt during a time of economic crisis. The play is true to the original text, and characters speak accurately the words as written in Genesis. Allow yourself to be encouraged by reading this great story. It will lift your spirits.
