Campbell Smith takes different aspects of painting landscapes - skies, trees and foliage, water, conveying a sense of distance, weather conditions - in turn and shows very simply which of the classic techniques explained in part one you might use for each subject. In the final part of the book, Campbell Smith analyses completed paintings to show how a range of different techniques can be brought together in a more complex scene.
