Kingdom Hearts not only acts as the access point for most new fans, but also the access point for many new gamers. People who naturally hate playing video games that will put down everything they're doing in order to pick-up and play this title. Unlike some other entries in the series, Kingdom Hearts is widely celebrated by gamers and non-gamers alike as the perfect mixture of Disney and Final Fantasy rudiments. As with every game in the series, the universe of this RPG classic is a collection of levels based on the Disney universe. The Disney-Squaresoft partnership meant a mix of classic Disney and Sqaure characters as well as several new characters created and designed by Tetsuya Nomura. Kingdom Hearts came about when a Square producer met a Disney executive in an elevator. At that time Square and Disney had previously shared a space in the same building in Japan.
