The British Union (BU) was a political party in the United Kingdom formed in 1932 by Sir Oswald Mosley as the British Union of Fascists. In 1936 it changed its name to the British Union of Fascists and National Socialists and then in 1937 to the British Union. The BUF claimed 50,000 members at one point and the Daily Mail was an early supporter, running the famous headline "Hurrah for the Blackshirts!" It existed until 1940, when it was proscribed by the British Government. Mosley and hundreds of BU activists were detained without trial by the "democratic" government and only released once the war was over. This booklet, first published in 1938, was one of the most comprehensive overviews of BU policy ever distributed. Its topics included forthright statements on the economy, foreign policy, Jews, the abolition of political parties, and much more.
