Emain was born in a caravan park, where she lived with her brothers and sister, until her mother was killed by a car, which resulted in her leaving home. "Emain" means "protector", and once she had found a human to look after her, she sets out to justify the name that her mother had given her, by embarking on a series of adventures to help humans in trouble. These memoirs look at the world through the eyes of an extraordinary domestic cat. She is compassionate, determined and fiercely loyal, with firm principles. Emain is, above all, a cat with attitude.
