The story of Hannah Hauxwell's tour of Europe in the footsteps of intrepid Victorian lady travellers. Realizing an ambition to travel, Hannah visits many beautiful and famous places including Paris, Salzburg, Capri, Naples and Venice. Her experiences are compared here with earlier travellers through archive material and 19th-century travel literature.
