The ruins of Tintagel, Bodmin Moor, the legendary Jamaica Inn at Bolventor and the prehistoric sites of Penwith are some of the points of interest in this guide. The walks have been chosen to encompass all aspects of the south-west peninsula, its history, archaeology, folklore and natural history. It contains some of the most varied scenery to be found in the British Isles. Exmoor offers a landscape of heather uplands and precipitous wooded valleys, famous as the land of Lorna Doone.
