Part of an extensive school's course in French, stage 4 takes students to GCSE level, deepening and extending their understanding of the language in all areas. At each stage, a teacher's book and a cassette pack are also available. The "Escalier" course is designed to maximize the use of French in the classroom, and is as authentic as possible in its use of the language. It aims to develop speaking, listening and reading skills, with writing activities provided to reinforce these three areas.
