DS Dave Cusack and his attractive colleague are assigned an undercover operation that involves them becoming members at a swingers' playground, The Sahara Club. The modern bar that is notorious for its wild parties and prestigious guests is a local haunt for one of the suspects in the Mets latest investigation. Dave's wife, Hazel, is furious when she finds out he has been assigned such a case. Knowing she cannot trust him, she immediately gets suspicious: just how far would her cheating husband go to get a result? Bored and frustrated, Hazel cannot resist the temptation to know what goes on behind closed doors and starts to investigate the club from her computer. Intrigued by what she discovers, she decides to go and see the place for herself.

As she sits on a barstool at The Sahara Club, Hazel begins to unwind in the charged atmosphere and discovers excitement, fun and the possibility of romance. Although DC Holly Gardener vaguely recognises Hazel, she says nothing and DS Dave Cusack is nowhere to be seen. Pretty, blonde, and very ambitious, Holly uses her charm to get the attention of the suspect. The investigation begins to gather pace and despite being told by her boss to back off, Holly surreptitiously plans to attend a party at a secret location: so does Hazel and her new friend "Goatee". The party has more impact on both of them than they could ever have imagined...

Hazel gets in deep trouble as she becomes embroiled with the investigation. A case of mistaken identity, an unfortunate death in Afghanistan, and international espionage, puts her life in danger - but can the Metropolitan police glean enough information from the swinging community to save Hazel? And will their only clue, an email address, lead them to bring the criminals to justice? After all, who is flightygirl747@hotmail.co.uk?
