This monographic catalogue of the Korean artist Nam June Paik is published in tandem with the exhibition held at Palazzo Cavour in Torino from September 14th to November 17th 2002. The monograph opens with the photographic documentation of the exhibition to explore Paik's art through the images themselves. Videos, laser paintings, photos and installations express his creativity and his experimental talent. Paik combines his interests in music, electronics and art using a variety of techniques. One section of the book is dedicated to the video-sculptures by Paik together with the American cellist Charlotte Moorman; another section illustrates some installations that incorporate technological elements in artworks of big dimensions. The photographic section portrays Charlotte Moorman performing around the world between 1964 and 1974. The book closes with Paik's video-art, including 18 videos in chronological order from 1966 up to the end of the 80s.
