Off goes Agatha Raisin on another adventure full of murder and mayhem. Business is slow until she is hired by the resident of a neighboring village to find out who poisoned one of local residents. As the bodies start piling up Agatha and her team of detectives can't seem to break the code of silence that descends. No one will come forward and admit that they know what is the cause of the murders.
Agatha is still battling with her weight and her feelings for her neighbor and former husband James, and with the personal lives of her employees.
Never mind big city crime, it's little old ladies in quaint villages that you really need to keep an eye on.
