Frank spent the early years of his life working as a pattern core moulder in the foundry. My Life details the many difficulties he faced during his career. Frank then worked on the railways as a signalman for years, until modern technology closed most of the signal boxes. Once Frank became redundant he decided to set up his own workshop.
