The biographies of two early 20th Century English artists known as Florence Harrison are presented. "Emma" Florence Harrison was identified as the Blackie illustrator responsible for colorful Pre-Raphaelite, children, and fairy pictures in over 100 books. The real artist was Florence "Susan" Harrison. This REVISED EDITION corrects errors, adds new information & pictures (especially a newly discovered one of Florence Susan Harrison), new maps, and an index. These two lady artists were about 20 years apart in age and came from different economic and social classes. The purpose of this book is to compare and contrast their stories in order to correct the record and clear up this case of mistaken identity.
