Master Christopher Henderson resides in New York's Capital Region with his twin sons, Alex and Tristan, and his three furbabies, Katie, Cinder, and Shadow. He began his martial arts training in 1991 at Hoshin Black Belt Academy in Maybrook, NY, under the instruction of Grandmaster Craig Cheverier, where he earned his 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. After moving to Albany, New York for his undergraduate studies, he continued training independently until 2013 when he joined Columbia Taekwondo in East Greenbush, New York. There he continued his studies under Grandmaster Tae Yun where and earned his 4th degree black belt (master).Some of the competition highlights from Master Henderson's martial arts career include a gold medal (poomse) at the 1992 AAU Junior Olympic Games, a silver (poomse) and two gold medals (olympic sparring and breaking) at the 2019 Adirondack Championships, and a silver medal (poomse) at the 2019 AAU National Championships.Having officially retired from formal Taekwondo training and competition in the summer of 2024 due to health concerns, Master Henderson wrote this novel as a way to stay connected to his lifelong passion and give back to the martial arts community.
