Joe Filipas studied film and frequently collaborated with Dan Fields at Northwestern University. He was a producer and first Assistant Director on the Student Emmy-winning short The Detention Teacher. His short films, including horror shorts The Garage and Bad Habit, and musical comedy series Valley Meadows, have been featured and awarded at LA Webfest, The Minneapolis International Film Festival, The South Dakota Film Festival, and Minneapolis Comic Con. He also has several unfinished manuscripts sitting on his desk in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
