William R. DeHay, 'Bill' to his friends and family, has had a varied career. Before becoming a full-time writer, he was a naval intelligence officer, an aerospace engineer, and an attorney. He holds bachelor's degrees in math and psychology, a master's in meteorology, and a Juris Doctor degree. Before his employer transferred him to Colorado, Bill was a graduate student in the Applied Physics Department of Stanford University. Bill currently volunteers with his local police department's homicide unit, reviewing cold cases, surveillance videos, cell phone data, and other pieces of potential evidence.
