Born and raised Texan, Sheila Schmotzer is an author with over five years of experience in crafting children's books full of adventure, humor, and imaginative plots. Her previously published children's work includes THE SNOW BALLET, along with her debut picture book, PLANE PARTY. Schmotzer also enjoys writing narrative nonfiction and picture book biographies. A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, she's won honorable mention in the 2021 Picture Book Party writing contest. A resident of South Carolina who is based out of Orlando, Schmotzer holds an Associate of Fine Arts degree and Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. After completing her dance education, Schmotzer owned and operated her own dance studio, Dizzy Dancin Dance Studio as seen on Season 4 of the Lifetime television series, Dance Moms. Schmotzer took a leap into a new career in 2016 and became a flight attendant with a major US airline. By combining her knowledge and experience, she is able to engage her readers with well-choreographed writing full of creativity, rhythm, and uniqueness. Apart from being an author, Sheila is a member of the World Animal Foundation and volunteers locally at the Black Creek Wildlife Rescue Center. An IMDb member, she's appeared in Netflix's, The Do Over, and the feature films Magic Mike XXL, and Baywatch.
