Gabriela Collado Rodriguez is a native of Brooklyn, New York where she works as a special education teacher. She attended Boricua College where she majored in Human Services, before graduating in 2020. Ms. Rodriguez and Angela Davis met in 2008 when she was a student in Ms. Davis's 7th grade English class. This is her first contribution to a children's book; her work also appears in a book titled "A Fresh Start".
