At only eight years old, K.D. would lie awake staring at an antique bedroom painting which later inspired her debut book, Mulberry Chronicles: The Broken Curse. The painting depicted a candle sitting in a creepy room, and the flame seemed to flicker in the darkness. She now lives in a small town in Ohio with her husband, kids, and doodle named Lizzie.
