JuweriaJuweria is one of the founding members of Abāyo House. She is a writer, editor and publisher. She has a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from MacEwan University in Alberta, Canada. Juweria is also a Qur'an and Arabic student, and is passionate about furthering her studies and unlocking the spiritual treasures of Islam. She has a decade and a half of experience in community engagement, advocacy, mentorship, and project development and management. Juweria's life mission is to use her years of experience, training and education to serve and uplift the community, bring about positive change, and create opportunities.Samia Samia is the co-founder of Abāyo house, as well as a writer, editor, and publisher. As an artist, Samia's project themes revolve around healing, reconciliation, and personal development-in a practice mindful of Allah (swt) and the teaching of our Prophet (saw). She is passionate about uplifting the community and unpacking bite-sized dense discussions utilizing storytelling and poetry. One of Samia's many goals is to teach and share the treasures of her culture in her upcoming works, and simplify and nourish the common effects of split Somali identity. Samia is eager to continue to connect with dreamers, and publish books that push past stagnant creativity, and revive stories that align with our values.
