Aiza Ntibarikure was born and raised in bilingual Montreal, Canada. She is a singer and actor of theater, television and film. In the spring of 2019, she was declared winner of the prestigious 2019-2020 Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class and, earlier in the year, she won “Francophone Artist of the Year” at the 3rd annual Dynasty Gala Awards, in large part thanks to the significant success of her first disc entitled “Adieu.” As she declares, her songs are made of a mix of throwback R&B and fresh afro beats. She sings in both English and French.
Aiza is a graduate of the Professional Theatre program at Dawson College. Aiza played Officer Roxanne Dionne on the Emmy-nominated, Canadian Screen Award-winning TV series 19-2, as well as lawyer Nadine Collard on the critically acclaimed, Gemini-nominated series Ruptures. She can be seen alongside Felicity Jones in the 2018 feature film On The Basis of Sex and is a new series regular on both Netflix’s original superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy as well as CBC’s hit sitcom Workin’ Moms.
Aiza is producing her first entertainment talk show series for CBC entitled Blackity Black, set to launch in the spring of 2022. On Jeremy and Jazzy, Aiza is a consulting producer, providing feedback on the music, stories, and design of the series, and she’s also the voice of Jazzy. She currently resides in Toronto.
