C.S. (Cindy) Boyll was born and raised on a farm in North Dakota to first-generation German Americans. She has spent her adult life writing, editing, and free lancing for newspapers and magazines. Now with four grandchildren, her writing interests have turned to children's literature and history. She married into a military family with deep roots in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army.
