Priscilla Rice is a Dallas, Texas-based storyteller, actor, interpreter, and radio host. She's the co-host of "Pleasant Groove Open Mic" with Tamitha Curiel and Chris Curiel. She has a passion for arts advocacy, community, and language justice. She is also involved in "Pleasant Groove," an open mic founded by Tamitha Curiel and Chris Curiel, as well as "Tejana C�smica," a collective of Tejana poets/storytellers. She is a member of the Da Grove Cohort: un taller for dreaming, a collective of artists using their talents and resources to uplift the community. As an actress, Priscilla has had the honor to work with Cara Mia Theatre Co, Bishops Arts Theatre, Artstillery, Dallas Children's Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theatre, and Eco Theatre. She is the former Vice Chair for the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission, currently residing in Pleasant Grove with her two sons Leo and Christiano."We Are What We Are' is her first book of poetry, a collaboration with fellow poet/author Lopamudra Banerjee.
