Of the forty-two-year career of the RN, the author worked for forty-one years in the Intensive Care Unit, with twenty-eight years in the Cardiac ICU and fourteen years in the Neuro ICU in Northern California's first designated Comprehensive Stroke center. Having a BSN and CCRN for twenty-two years, she was a Coronary care unit supervisor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and EKG educator, and student mentor. She poured into hurting peoples' lives to find joy and fulfillment.An Air Force brat, she lived in many states and England, adapting to multiple schools and friends.
