Dr. Maisa is currently employed by Zayed University as an Assistant Professor in the Environmental science department, College of Natural and Health Sciences. She holds a Doctorate degree in Chemical Science from Tanta University and a Masters in Material Science from Alexandria University. She has worked for 20 years as a researcher with long experience in different areas such as CO2 capture and storage, soil stability, sulfur concrete production and solid waste management. More recently, her research focus is on the development of novel CO2 adsorbent materials, to produce stable materials and a sustainable environment. Her record spans more than 100 publications in high impact journals, international and local conferences, patents, books, and book chapters. She has dedicated herself to working in these research fields alongside her job as a teacher of Chemical and Environmental science and as supervisor to the students in their senior projects at Zayed University.?
