Christopher G. Prener was Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Saint Louis University. In addition to researching stigma, mental health, and neighborhood disorder in a variety of settings, his most recent work explores the consequences of historical segregation for contemporary health in St. Louis, Missouri. He is also a former Emergency Medical Technician and EMS dispatcher. He is now working as a research scientist outside of academia.
