The reaction of my grandkids to the current political and faith state of affairs in the country (and the world) motivated me to write this piece. I was surprised and disturbed about how distorted their concepts were. I believe that children and young adults (and maybe some older adults as well) of these times are hungry for a bit of truth, facts, and logical reasoning because apparently many do not get it at home or school. I have been fortunate to have had a long and interesting life living under different political ideologies. Academically, I possess a science and engineering background, two bachelor's degrees (Oceanography and Civil Engineering) and two master's degrees (Environmental Studies and Civil Engineering). For a great portion of my life, I studied the major religions and their canons and am fascinated about the things of God. I also read and study the word of God daily.
